Housed in the heart of the mountains, in the center of a village
The Au Coeur du Village hotel is located in the center of the village of La Clusaz at an altitude of 1040 meters. Surrounded by mountains, thus making up the Aravis Massif, the resort extends into a pretty valley filled with meadows, bordered by fir forests and crossed by streams.
From the hotel, you can see the surrounding mountains: Le Crêt du Merle, Le Crêt du Loup, Pointe de Merdassier, l’Aiguille and the Plateau de Beauregard. You are also immersed in the heart of the village and appreciate its mythical bell tower, the roofs covered with snow in winter and the planters colored by geraniums in summer.
A stone’s throw from the slopes (Champ Giguet), the ski lifts (Beauregard) and marked trails for mountain biking or walking, everything becomes easier to start your vacation days in the great outdoors.
Shops, restaurants, markets, church, entertainment, tourist office, you are in the heart of a living village, with all the amenities you need on a daily basis. No need to take the car anymore, everything can be done on foot, by bus and even by horse-drawn carriage!

Welcome to the land of Reblochon & Génépi
There’s no shortage of gastronomic specialties in our mountains! And for good reason, the Aravis massif is known for its soft cheese Reblochon which makes up a number of culinary specialties such as Tartiflette, Croziflette and Reblochonnade.
You will also discover Génépi restaurants on the menus. This aromatic plant is emblematic of the French Alps, picked in the heights. Used in maceration and then distilled to obtain a liqueur with a unique taste.
But that’s not all, you will also find: local charcuterie (raw ham and dry sausages), diots (small pure pork sausages), crozets (small square pasta), blueberry tart, Savoie cakes and a plethora of cheese specialties : tomme de Savoie, tomme blanche, Chevrotin… The opportunity to take your taste buds on a journey and bring home edible souvenirs!

La Clusaz, Alpine Resort but not only that!
The village of La Clusaz is 30 minutes by car from the city of Annecy and 45 minutes from Geneva. In the heart of the Haut Savoyard country, it has magnificent summits and belvederes with views of Mont Blanc, the Col des Aravis… Its name comes from the word cluse which means “passage between two mountains”. You may even hear locals and old-timers pronounce “La Clus’”.
The ram is the emblem of the village because the history of the valley is based on the pastoral activity which has been practiced there since antiquity.
Its ski area (which celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2024) extends over 5 massifs, from Etale to Balme. You will have the choice with 85 slopes ranging from the green slope to the black slope, you can hurtle down the 125 km of the area, have fun at the Snowpark or even taste the famous reblochonnade in a restaurant on the slopes.
La Clusaz is also a playground in summer. The development of electric mountain biking now allows you to enjoy the freshness of the mountains from June to September! Hiking trails, trail running, climbing, via ferrata, horse riding and even golf are activities to be found in the city of the ram!
